Thanks Natarajan Sir. It is indeed a flasback to our boyhood memories. I haven’t come across a single old student that does not recall his/her days at the school with lot of love and affection. We were lucky to have such dedicated teachers. May or teachers be blessed with good health and happiness.

    Namaskaram Sir:
Some of my best times were spent in MEA / DTEA RK Puram from 1963(?) to 1974, when I passed out. I remember you as a disciplinarian who meant well.
Remember many teachers. Especially our pranks & then being admonished by Ramachandran Sir, Rangarajan Sir etc. But, times were great.
Never a class topper [especially in a class filled with N Krishnamachari (who was Commerce State 2nd in 1974), TA Subramanian, NV Diwakar, KS Sitaraman etc], but, a decent student & more of a sportsman.
Trying to upload a photo, which I believe, was taken in 1965-66 (Standard IV?), You & Jayammal teacher are also there. I am sitting in the ground, 3rd from left. Have downloaded all your RK Puram photographs & thanks a lot for that.
    Best Regards,
    Ajay

    Sir
    Namaskaram.
I stumbled upon your site and informed my brother N.K.Chari who met you yesterday and conveyed me that you remembered my Dad also.It is nice to know about MEA’s history and that too when you are away from India. As Ajay has stated,I was also not very bright but still I fondly remember your advice to our father to admit us in the same class we had passed out in Mumbai and that advice has helped me a lot.
Hope to see you in Delhi during my next visit
    With Best regards
    Chari

    dear sir,

i suddenly chanced upon your blog which brought so many delectable memories of my school days in janakpuri brnach.i specifically remmeber the “this is my school…” pledge that we would recite each day at the end of the prayer assembly. i passed out in 1984 and i remember that soon after you had taken over we had shifted to the pucca building in the year 1981.i could of curse continue upto 1984,that is,till the time i finished my 10th board.i must be the only one, i am sure, to have been under the tutelage of you and your duagther-you were my principal at dtea ,janakpuri, while ms meena natarajan taught me chemistry at svc briefly in the year 1986.
